Lending is currently the biggest vertical in Navi. One of the top areas of innovation which drives both growth and profitability in lending is collections. We are looking for bright and young people who can own the entire HR responsibilities of a cluster of cities (Hire to Retire). The role will also have a very hand in hand working relationship with the business head of the area (City CEO). This role is great for people who want complete ownership for all facets of HR very early in their career. This will also give opportunities for lots of 0-1 learning and step jump impact creation.


Role : City HR Head - Navi Lending


Location : Bangalore/Chennai/Kolkata


Background - Consistent high achievement in academics and work (top 0.1%) with experience of upto 3 Years


Key Responsibilities


  • End-to-end HR responsibilities for the teams in their region, including cities expansion through talent acquisition, retention, people operations, compensation & benefits, payroll, compliance and people strategy.

  • Responsible for inculcating the culture and values of Navi in the teams located in their region. 

  • Come up with strategic initiatives which can create new standards in improving talent density, team engagement, productivity, attrition, and other key areas.

  • Work closely with central Navi teams like HR, Admin, IT, Compliance, Audit, Vigilance to ensure quality and efficiency in operations for their region. 

  • Own and drive cost initiatives to achieve expense targets for their region.

  • Own administrative responsibilities for their region. 

  • Maintain data and analytical dashboards for HR, Admin, and Compliance aspects for their region. Provide relevant insights to City CEOs for cost optimisation, efficiency, and people related issues. 

  • Working closely with central teams like finance, Control tower, process excellence, HR, vigilance, audit, etc.


Key Skills Needed


  • Entrepreneurial mind-set along with an ability to hustle and solve problems on-ground

  • Ability to think outside the box and be comfortable dealing with unstructured problem statements. 

  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail. Understanding data & dashboards; being adept at Excel and Google Sheets

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative management style

  • Maturity with conflict resolution and having tough conversations. 

  • High integrity. 



Growth Path


City HR Head  is a generalist HR role with complete ownership of all HR verticals in the respective region.  This alsi gives an opportunity to work deeply with the business teams and contribute to achieving short term as well as long term business objectives. 


Hence a couple of years of exposure in this role will make the person ready to be truly fungible and take up any other HR role in Navi across regional or central HR teams. In fact, this can also give opportunity to move to a non HR role if the aspirations, competencies and impact are aligned.
