Key Responsibilities.;


  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10+  engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Should own appraisals , compensation queries and leave management of his direct reports.
  • Define the tech roadmap and help with the product roadmap for your team.
  • Should be able to help in designing and developing the systems within the team. Should not shy away from pitching in whenever required.
  • Sharp focus on observability, monitoring and debuggability of production code & infrastructure
  • Drive customer-first behavior and ownership mindset in the team to make sure the highest quality products are shipped to the customers or end users. 
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team and individuals, and regularly assess and improve team performance.
  • You will be working closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to shape the industry-leading customer experience and acquire millions of new customers monthly in the Investment platform.
  • Staying ahead of the curve by setting up good processes and practices in the team, also focussing on operational excellence
  • Ensure the team has clear priorities, vision, and adequate resources. Should participating in interviews and evaluation of candidates.
  • Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team member

What You'll Need


  • 7+ years overall experience with 1+ years of Engineering Management experience, managing a diverse set of candidates (frontend, backend, mobile), across various technologies. Good software engineering methodology-meaningful and deeply-rooted opinions about testing and code quality, ability to make sound quality/speed trade-offs
  • Exceptional technical skills in the backend with significant experience building and operating critical high-scale systems with a hands-on approach to lead from the front when the situation calls for it.
  • Experience with web technologies and microservices architecture, Java, Kotlin, Linux, Postgres, Redis, etc. 
  • Experience with API Design, ability to architect and implement intuitive customer flows.
  • Ability to think and analyze both breadth-wise (client, server, DB, control flow) and depth-wise (threads, sessions, space-time complexity) while designing.
  • Should have strong design and architectural skills. 
  • Great management and team development skills - the ability to set roadmap and goals for the teams and the members of his team, delegate intelligently, mentor engineers, deliver frequent and honest feedback, help team members grow in their careers, and deliver results.
