Key responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of manual testers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test procedures for new features, bug fixes, and existing functionalities across various platforms and devices.
Defining key metrics for quality of the application and pursuing the same.
Owning up the overall quality of the application and setting up processes to maintain high quality of the application.
Define and implement quality assurance processes and methodologies for manual testing.
Assign and prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient and effective testing coverage.
Review and evaluate test results, identifying and documenting bugs with clear and concise reports.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to prioritize defects, track progress, and ensure timely resolution.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented QA environment, promoting communication and knowledge sharing.
Stay updated on the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices, and implement relevant innovations.
Analyze test data and metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of QA processes.
Represent the QA team in meetings and discussions, advocating for quality standards and user needs.
Required Skills:
Minimum 4 -5 years of experience in manual testing, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating testing teams.
In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and testing best practices.
Strong understanding of various testing techniques (functional, usability, regression, compatibility, etc.).
Experience with test case design, execution, and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Confluence).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
