Role Overview:

As a Manual QA Engineer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for building and enhancing  applications across Cash Loan, Home Loan, and Web portals. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by designing test strategies, executing test plans, and collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end manual testing processes across web and backend applications including a sound understanding of product requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.

  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on new features, bug fixes, and existing functionalities.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and UAT testing to identify defects.

  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and validate backend responses.

  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, TestRail and collaborate with the developers to prioritise and resolve issues.

  • Validate bug fixes, conduct root cause analysis, and work on continuous process improvements.

  • Provide actionable feedback to developers and stakeholders on bug severity and impact.

  • Ensure compliance with QA best practices, standards, and processes.

  • Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers and contribute to team-wide quality initiatives.


  • Giving extreme attention to details and ensuring to test from an end user’s perspective.

  • Constantly improve the test cases and testing methodology to improve the overall quality of the application.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed test case documentations.

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes..

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Manual Testing of web and backend applications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field).

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and test management tools.

  • Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools. (Good to have)

  • Ability to analyze requirements and ask relevant questions before writing test cases.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
